CATTLE STATION

Mt Mulligan Station is home to around 1400 Brahman cross cattle which you can see roaming around the destination. Historically the property had no cattle fences so all the surrounding properties would muster together on horseback and then work together to separate their cattle out.
Today it is a very different experience where cattle are mustered using just one horse, quad bikes and sometimes even a helicopter!
There are 24 dams throughout the Station, which support a range of wildlife and brumbies. Our cattle enjoy salt licks, which supplement their diet, as natural grasses are very low on sodium.
