Nestled amongst the property’s Australian eucalyptus woodlands, the Outback Tents fit seamlessly into the surrounding environment and showcase the majestic Mount Mulligan/Ngarrabullgan escarpment from their spacious outdoor decks.
The Outback Tents are situated just a short ten-minute walk, or five-minute electric buggy drive from the Main Pavilion, providing the ideal balance of a true escape in nature and the comforts of a boutique lodge.
Thoughtful interiors see furnishings and finishes that blend the natural colours and textures of the surrounding landscape with contemporary design and comfort. Custom, steel-framed beds allow for king or twin configuration; air-conditioning keep guests cool in the northern Queensland climate; and the tents’ generous floorspace allows for plenty of storage, seating, side tables and a small fridge (fully stocked with gourmet minibar provisions). One Outback Family Tent, complete with a set of bunk beds, accommodates 4 guests.
In line with Northern Escape Collection’s continuing endeavours to safeguard the environment, the Outback Tents run exclusively on solar power, while their ensuite use 100% recycled water and feature eco-conscious LaGaia guest amenities.
Designed by the award-winning EcoStructures Australia to have minimal impact on the land, the safari-style tents sit on raised timber platforms and are crafted using solely sustainable materials including the highest-grade canvas available, making them 100% weatherproof.
